Charitable Gaming Helping the Community

As the year draws to a close, we would like to take this opportunity to share the impact that charitable gaming has across the province on both individuals and the community at large.

The cGaming partnership with Ontario Lottery and Gaming has raised over $300 million to date supporting over 2,300 charities and non-profits in their good works.

B'nai Brith - Toronto (Delta Bingo & Gaming, Rama Gaming House Toronto East)

B'nai Brith groups send out approximately 140 emergency food boxes to seniors within their community on a weekly basis. Without the assistance of funds raised through Delta Bingo & Gaming Downsview and Rama Gaming House in the Toronto area, they would be unable to continue to distribute as many emergency food boxes.

Easter Seals - Toronto (Dolphin Gaming)

We have all been adversely affected by COVID-19, but Easter Seals families have been severely impacted. Easter Seals has existed for almost 100 years to help alleviate the financial burden families face trying to afford essential mobility and accessibility equipment. Support is particularly crucial right now. Due to COVID-19, many of the Easter Seals' traditional fundraising events have been cancelled for 2020. Madisen, last year’s Easter Seals Provincial Ambassador, has been in isolation throughout the pandemic and Easter Seals supports her family by ensuring that her chair lift is operational so that she can join her family and not be stuck on one floor.

Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury (Delta Bingo & Gaming)

The Down Syndrome Association of Sudbury's (DSAS) Christmas Party is one of the best-attended events because children regardless of their age love Santa Claus. The DSAS has not had the opportunity to socially gather throughout the year so they decided that they would try to put some smiles on their member's faces for this unprecedented Christmas season. To achieve this, they put together 39 Christmas baskets and utilized local businesses as much as possible. The baskets included Christmas ornaments, cookies, candles, facemasks, and Christmas cards from the Food Bank. DSAS delivered these baskets to their members and there were smiles all around.
