Helping Charities Across Ontario
We provide support and advocacy for our members to sustain and grow charitable gaming as an important source of funding for services in communities across Ontario
OCGA — Our History
Established in 1997, the OCGA is a not-for-profit representing our membership base of more than 2,100 Ontario charities and non-profits, advocating on their behalf for new products, technology, and regulatory change in the charitable gaming industry. Our members rely on us to provide support and advocacy for the charitable gaming programs that generate important funding for registered charities and not-for-profits across Ontario.
Through our successful partnerships with Ontario Lottery and Gaming, Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, private sector operators and suppliers, municipalities, and various Ministries in the provincial government, we:
-
Work with Alcohol and Gaming Commission Ontario to make regulatory changes that offer better fundraising opportunities for charities and non-profits
-
Work with Ontario Lottery and Gaming to develop and support the cGaming initiative, a province-wide expansion to introduce technology to traditional charitable bingo centres
-
Promote public awareness of the important role charitable gaming plays in generating vital funds for Ontario charities and non-profits
-
Provide educational opportunities for charities and not-for-profits
Our philosophy is to improve and innovate charitable gaming in Ontario by developing and maintaining constructive relationships with various partners, provincial ministries and the private sector. As we lead the way on so many fronts, we are proud to continuously produce real, measurable success. We make things happen.
Helping across Ontario
The Ontario Charitable Gaming Association represents the interests of charities and not-for-profits that fund raise through charitable gaming. We provide support and advocacy for our members to sustain and grow charitable gaming as an important source of funding for services in communities across Ontario.
