The Children’s Centre Foundation Thunder Bay, founded in 2004 as a registered charity, initially focused on funding mental health education and prevention initiatives. Over the years, the Foundation has expanded its mission to include funding for developmental services and behavioural programs offered through Children’s Centre Thunder Bay.

In close collaboration with Children’s Centre Thunder Bay, the Foundation supports programs and services that:
· Enhance child and youth mental health,
· Address developmental, social, and behavioral needs of children,
· Strengthen families' abilities to parent effectively, and
· Build community capacity to support children, youth, and families.
The Foundation also champions various community initiatives, including preventative programs, awareness campaigns, and health education for caregivers. These efforts ensure families have access to vital resources when and where they need them most.
On May 7th, 2024, National Child and Youth Mental Health Day, the first "Jaida Project Video" was launched. Volunteer bingos at Superior Shores Gaming Thunder Bay ran throughout the day/evening to raise funds for suicide prevention.
