The St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital (STEGH) Auxiliary is a volunteer driven organization that exists to support patient care equipment and capital renovations at the St. Thomas Elgin General Hospital through fundraising.
The opportunity to participate at Jackpot Time St. Thomas has given the STEGH Auxiliary a tremendous means of raising a significant amount of funds and replacing some traditional fundraising opportunities that were challenged and/or discontinued during Covid.
The STEGH Auxiliary’s most recent pledge to the Hospital is directed to the Transforming Tomorrow capital campaign, an $8 million investment in STEGH’s diagnostic imaging department which includes an MRI.
Support of this exciting project will help the hospital provide regional level care in St. Thomas. Currently, 5,000 patients must travel outside the County annually for MRI scans. With the installation of a long-awaited MRI as well as renovations and new medical equipment for x-ray, ultrasound, nuclear medicine and CT, families, friends and neighbours will be able to access the level of high quality care they need and deserve, close to home.
