Celebrating 500 Million for Charities at Queen's Park

On May 5th, OCGA and CGAO held an event at Queen’s Park with MPPs to celebrate raising over $500 million for charities through our Revitalization of Charitable Bingo and Gaming Initiative (cGaming) with Ontario Lottery and Gaming.

We were very pleased to have the Honourable Doug Downey, Attorney General of Ontario open the event with Duncan Hannay, CEO, Ontario Lottery and Gaming, Dr. Karin Schnarr, CEO and Registrar, Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario and Wayne Gates, MPP, Niagara Falls, as our speakers. The event was well attended with many MPPs and political staff dropping in to congratulate the sector on this remarkable achievement.

This $500 million has supported thousands of charities and non-profits over the years, allowing them to provide important programs and services in communities across Ontario. With $96 million generated just this past fiscal, we are looking forward to the continued success of this cGaming initiative.
